Raheel Valiani is an Operating Principal at Staple Street Capital focused on optimizing and improving portfolio company operations.
Prior to joining Staple Street Capital, Mr. Valiani was Vice President of Business Operations at Jostens (a Platinum Equity portfolio company) where he led the creation, management, and execution of a Business Operations transformation plan, covering revenue generating and cost cutting initiatives.
Prior to Platinum Equity, Mr. Valiani worked at McKinsey, as a member of the Implementation practice where he led transformational work across many industries; semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, automotive, plastics, industrial. He also advised a Japanese company on their Additive Manufacturing strategy.
Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Valiani started his own company in Additive Manufacturing to cure musculoskeletal ailments. He cultivated his Additive Manufacturing knowledge while working for Shapeways as the Director of Operations, where he ran the Long Island City factory.
Prior to Shapeways, Mr. Valiani started his career at General Electric (GE) where he participated in the Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) at GE Aviation. Taking on roles as the shop floor supervisor, member of the spare parts forecasting team, and lean six sigma specialist. After OMLP, he joined the GE Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), auditing various global GE businesses utilizing risk based auditing. After CAS he joined GE Energy as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, leading projects and mentored over 50 greenbelts. His final role at GE, he was the P&L leader for a service operations business where he led a cross functional team of field service, factory and commercial operations growing both top and bottom line financials.
Mr. Valiani received his B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
